Simply Thai

We waited 20 minutes to order after being seated while others sat near us and ordered immediately. My wife's pad thai was delicious. I know this because I had to eat it with her as my dish barely qualified as an appetizer. I had the bbq pork which was 2 small thin cuts of pork with a dipping sauce and no rice for $13. The amount of food left me very disappointed and hungry. We will likely stop for food on the way home. I did mention it to the waitress who responded, yup, that's all it is. An offer of rice perhaps would have been an appropriate response.

This has been one of my go too places for Thai food. Good price, good food, decent portions, clean location and friendly staff. I highly recommend this location.

First, the table we were at got the cold winter gust of wind freezing us each time the front door opened.Next, Maybe they were understaffed, but no one came to take our order for ten minutes, then finally got our food and my husbands bbq pork ($13) was the size of a fish fillet. The curry was pretty big and good but not amazing.We never tip 10%, but today was an exception.

We always love this place, and their food. We come here often, and the owners are very sweet. However today when my mother called in at 2:30 to order lunch the lady on the phone had a very bad attitude, and said they were only doing lunches till 2:30. She said that after she grabbed my mothers name and number. We knew that lunches run till three, so I called back to see why they changed their policies. When I called whoever picked up the phone said they were still doing lunches till three. I don’t know how many employees are there answering the phones, but to make up their own policies as they choose looks very bad on their business. I’m not sure who it was, but I really didn’t appreciate the attitude she had with my mom, and lying on top of it.

This was our first time trying Simply Thai. We are big fans of Thai food, but we have yet to find a place we love here in the South Valley. Simply Thai changed that. We will definitely go again. We ordered the cashew chicken stir fry and the beef Pad See Ew. The food was delicious, and was served quickly and correctly. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. The service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back and try a curry.

Came here at 11:30 for lunch with some coworkers. We got seated right away but the place definitely got packed. This was my first time trying Thai food. On their lunch menu I got the L11 (pork stir fry) and the L9 (sweet and sour chicken stir fry) and we got an order of chicken Pad Thai to share. The Pad Thai was definitely my favorite. I preferred the L9 over the L11. I only liked the rice if I dipped it in the juices of the stir fry. The owner was there and she was very sweet. Our waiter was very kind and super helpful. Lunch price was fair. Would come back again for the Pad Thai!

My wife and I love this place! Worth driving from Utah County to come here. Excellent service, consistently good food!

Great place for great Thai food. Love their curry! Lunch special is pick 2 different dishes from about 20 items so you can eat your favorite and try something new.

Disappointing service. The manager is very rude to her employees and very rude to customers. I asked for extra siracha sauce and the server was kind enough to give me some, but the manager scolded her in front of us and said she should not do it again and charge me next time. Charge? For siracha sauce that is in a tiny container? Ridiculous. The more ridiculous thing was the disrespect she had for the kind server. Never going to this place again. I don't support businesses who treat employees wrong. The manager should learn some manners.

Nice place for a quiet Thai food. The hostess is friendly and we went on a Friday afternoon, still did not have a wait time. There is plenty of parking outside also. Recommended place.

Me and my husband come here every chance we get!! We have tried several other Thai restaurants and we always come back here. The food here is absolutely incredible!!! The owner is very passionate about the food that is put out. She is sensitive to MSG, so she doesn't use it in her restaurant. She uses only the best quality ingredients. I always feel wonderful after I eat here. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Very delicious Thai food one of my favorites in between Utah and salt lake county. I would recommend it :)

Super friendly and fast service. The food is also very fresh! I really love he food here and visit often. My favorite is the coconut curry soup and the pad Thai (see photos). Don’t forge the mango sticky rice. When mangoes are in season, this is incredible.

Great place to get some dinner or lunch as well. Prices are reasonable with the portion you get. Variety of different items, I've tried a few and they taste great. Service is very spot on and friendly as can be. It can get full and there's a bit of wait time because of limited space.

Food has yet to disappoint, staff was friendly and quick. Waitress was great, kept our drink topped off and even predicted some of our requests before we asked. We had a wonderful lunch with our family and friends.

I've had lunch here about 10 times, great place to bring clients. It is always so good!! Hit it at 1130am and you can get right in. The Green Curry never disappoints... Just the right balance of heat and sweet... Yum!!

Great lunch specials. If you are short on time for lunch, order takeout in advance. They get can really busy.

I love Simply Thai. There Pad Thai is divine and the pineapple coconut curry is delicious. They are also a great spot if you have allergies. They use cashews in a lot of there dishes instead of peanuts and they use coconut milk instead if cows milk. So if you are lactose intolerant this is a great place for Thai food.

First things first, our fried rolls had a large piece of plastic in them...If that health code violation wasn’t enough, the yellow curry was watery and bland, the rice was stale, and the Tom Yum tasted like tortilla soup. They comped us for the fried rolls, they should have done more to smooth over the terrible dining experience we had. Will never be coming here again.

Their service is really good! Our waitress was really attentive and down to earth. And their curry is phenomenal!

Good food and great staff

A great place to get wonderful Thai. The service in house can be shotty at times but the good never dissapoints. The yellow and green curry are stellar and are fairly consistent. Their take out is exceptional and really quick. Make sure to try the mango sticky rice for a desert, it does not disappoint.

Been dreaming about my return to this place ever since I left. I'd highly recommend stepping up the decor as the walls and dining area is super plain but in the end, the food here is king. Get a classic bowl of Pad Thai and finish your meal off with a scoop of their coconut icecream. (Just writing this has me scheming up my return.)

It was my first time there. The food was mediocre at best. Very disappointing. I ordered lettuce wraps as a starter. The lettuce they served was barely wide enough to support any filling at all. Brown rice is not an option, and though Thai food is typically extremely flavorful, the entree itself wasn't interesting at all. The whole restaurant had a bit of an odd smell too. Definitely would not recommend this place.

We were very disappointed. We signed our name on their roster and they told us it would be a 15 minute wait. We kept checking back and could see we were being passed over for others who signed in after us. We left and went to La Frontera Restaurant close by. They got us right in and the food was delicious. Don't recommend Simply Thai because of the service. Food may be good but is it worth the wait?

I love this place. I think they're really great for Thai in Utah. The last time I went I think they may have switched up the recipe or something with the Curry. Want as good as I remember but they're still really awesome and have so many options to satisfy your needs.

Delicious Thai food in a cozy setting. Great for dine in or carry out. I love the pineapple curry, it just makes me happy! I highly recommend eating here!

Fantastic food and service every time I've been there :)

Great little Thai place. Ive had a few dishes from here. Mostly different curries and Pad Thai. The portions are great. Curry ingredients are fresh and tasty and the portions are huge. The pic I posted was only a small portion (1/3) of the dish. The staff is nice, and they have enough seating that I rarely have to wait.

I really really wanted to like this place more than I did! The people were extremely nice and I think it could be great!! The service was great, the food and pricing are where it falls slightly short for me.Here's what could have been better about the food for me:1. Portion sizes to price - great portions, HUGE portions. I could have had half of the portion for less money and still would have been very happy. Wish it was an option!2. Shrimp shouldn't have tails. I loved my dish, the taste was there! I just didn't appreciate de-tailing my own shrimp, that is usually something typical of an appetizer, not the main course.Otherwise great experience! I do hope to receive a response to this review and hope my suggestions are taken into consideration. I will change the rating and review if my concerns are addressed.

We were actually here a couple of years ago and it was our favorite Thai in Utah but haven't been back bc it's a little far from us normally. We were in the area recently and were excited to go back but this time were disappointed with the food. All of our dishes had way too much sugar and salt. It seems to have been americanized. Has ownership or the cook changed?

We love Simply Thai. The service is great and the food is delicious. Employees are professional and friendly. The food tastes fresh and very authentic. The portion sizes are very good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I’ve been coming here for years for their lunch specials. We have been avoiding going out because of the virus but decided to do take out here for my birthday. If you are looking for a place that is taking sanitation serious this is the place! Everyone was being very conscious of how close they got to customers, they were sanitizing everything between each customer down to the pens. The food and service was great as always but seeing how conscious they were being about sanitation and safety in this time made us feel even better about the whole experience.
